Meet Hannah…

For anyone that’s ever shopped on our website, you’ll know her face! It’s the one you see wearing all of our knitwear and anything we need a cheeky smile for! BUT did you know that Hannah is in charge of the beautiful gardens at the Lingholm Estate? For a few years now we have been disturbing her working day by running after her trying to put hats on her head and telling her to stand still long enough for a photo! We are super grateful that she is kind enough to give us her time in between making green things grow :)

We decided Hannah needed a bit more of a spotlight and asked her a few questions about herself… she said this

“I grew up in Shropshire and moved to the lakes in 2016 having never even visited before. I now can’t imagine living anywhere else! I moved up to progress my career in horticulture at The Lingholm Estate which is where I became involved with Alpacaly Ever After.

I have always wanted to be a gardener but along the way I have been a postie, cook, pot washer, paper girl and a grave digger. While gardening in the summer of 2016 still in one of my hats I was asked by Emma if I would be happy to wear their new hat and have some photos taken for the website. It’s since then I have become Alpacaly Ever After model.

The best thing for me is getting to have first look at all their new products and having a good laugh whilst remembering to stop talking and smile at the camera (Which yes is cringey!). Although you probably shouldn’t have a favourite Alpaca, mine has got to be Sage as she has gigantic eyes and would always be first to the fence to say hello.

Oooh what would I do in my spare time? Well as if working outdoors isn’t enough I spend most of my spare time on the fells with my two Springer spaniels Buddy and Bobby. When not high on the fells you will most likely find me swimming in a lake or a tarn. Although I have a comfy bed at home I can’t resist a cheeky wild camp every now and again or a weekend away in my camper van.

What are my passions in life? All of the above…

Where am I going on my next holiday? I often say to people my life is a holiday as I absolutely love living and working in the lakes. I always say there is 24 hours in a day, 8 for working, 8 for sleeping and 8 for having fun! (Although it doesn’t always work out that way) My next holiday will no doubt be to the Scottish highlands in the camper I am very last minute so will decide the evening before we set off.

If I was to have anybody round for a bbq I would go for Captain Jack Sparrow as we can drink rum together and he can do my hair like he has his hair.
