You just so happen to be very lucky indeed! Because this voucher entitles one person to an amazing Camelid Care Session at Basecamp North Lakes! Learn the basics of Camelid care with the Alpacaly herd and our expert guide team! Learn all about Camelid biology, health and wellbeing, handling, haltering & husbandry! Join a group of fellow enthusiasts of up to 10 people to complete our educational (and super fun) care session that will have you alpaca whispering in no time! PLEASE NOTE all vouchers are valid for 12 months and are non-refundable.
- This activity takes place at Basecamp North Lakes, Troutbeck, Penrith, Cumbria, CA11 0SG
- This voucher is valid for 1 person 10 yrs + for a Camelid Care Session at Basecamp North Lakes.
- Prices start at £55 for visitors 10 yrs & over.
- Participants under 18 can be booked on unaccompanied however a parent or guardian must remain on site at Basecamp for the duration of the activity.
- All participants must be paid for as part of the booking.
- This activity takes place in a sheltered but open barn so please wear suitable clothing that keeps you warm and that you don’t mind potentially getting muddy!
- Activity lasts 2hrs with a safety introduction at the start and involves learning all about camelid care and their biology, conducting health checks and creating the best environments for your alpacas!
- You’ll receive a learning pack containing all of the infomation you’ve gathered!
- Group sizes of up to 10 people.
- This activity is currently not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or wheelchair users as it involves the handling of alpacas, however we hope to evolve the activity in future to be able accomodate additional needs so please bear with us :)
- Site facilities include cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, gift shop, farmshop, wheel chair accessible free car parking in close proximity to facilities, disabled access toilet.
