I can’t recommend this activity highly enough, it’s all we’ve talked about since we’ve come home!

Tripadvisors Number 1 Thing To Do in The Lakes!

Our woodland at Basecamp North Lakes provides a mini sanctuary for nature-based adventures and hands-on activities. This accessible space is a stone’s throw from the café and farm shop, but inside our woodland, a wild world awaits!
All of our sessions are underpinned by a Forest School ethos, and aim to promote self-esteem, creativity, confidence, and independence among learners.
We offer a whole range of activities depending on the interests of the group. Just a few of the things we get up to include: getting creative with materials inspired by nature, hunting for mini-beasts, cooking on the campfire, making potions in the mud kitchen, building dens, paying games and exploring the wetlands. We aim to be outside for the whole session, come rain or shine and there is the potential for activities in the woodland to get quite muddy!
As a Non-Profit Social Enterprise all the income from our activities goes back into supporting the work we do re-homing and rescuing alpacas and llamas, expanding our education and forest school work as well as providing free and subsidised activities for third sector organisations! For more information about the work we do have a look here
If you are an organisation or school and are interested in booking a session please get in touch with us so we can discuss how best to accomodate your group!
We have our very own lake here with water birds and wildlife to enjoy, there is also a wonderful farmshop stocking local produce and a cafe filled with pies, cakes and all manner of delights made right on the premises!…And did we mention we have our own lake ;)
Come and sample all of the amazing local producers! Such as…
