What to Expect
- Activity takes place at Whinlatter Forest, Keswick, Cumbria CA12 5TW.
- £40 per person on a Mixed Group walk, 1 alpaca per person for anyone 10 years and over.
- Children 4 – 9 years old can accompany at £15 per child, but cannot lead their own alpaca for health and safety reasons.
- No under 4s on Mixed Group walks (please see our Private walks).
- All visitors under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent/guardian as part of the booking with 1 alpaca per person for anyone 10 years and over.
- No accompanying walkers. All walkers must be paid for as part of the booking.
- Activity lasts roughly 1.5 hours with a safety introduction at the start.
- The walk has some steeper gradients and is suitable for people with good fitness and mobility levels only.
- Site facilities include cafe and visitor centre with washrooms, carparking and disabled parking, playgounds and various outdoor activities including cycling routes, Go Ape and children’s nature trails.

Alpacaly Ever After are delighted to be working with Forestry Commission England to bring our world famous alpaca walks to Whinlatter Forest! Trail through England’s only true mountain forest, get to know our delightful alpacas up close along the way, take part in feeding time and ask as many questions as you can think of!
As a Non-Profit Social Enterprise all the income from our activities goes back into supporting the work we do re-homing and rescuing alpacas and llamas, and providing free and subsidised activities for third sector organisations! For more information about the work we do have a look here
